That little tingling feeling

I know my wife is pregnant. I know I am going to be a dad. But the most funny, heart-warming, funny tingling feeling is when I hear my daughter say “my brother”.

She’s such a sweetie!

Stolen, not tagged…

territerri has this meme on her blog. I don’t know many people here yet, but it’s been a while since I did one of these and it’s the first one here. So, here we go with “The Book Meme”:

  • Pick up the nearest book of 123 pages or more. (No cheating!)
  • Find Page 123.
  • Find the first 5 sentences.
  • Post the next 3 sentences.
  • Tag 5 people.

The book closest to me is “Shaken NOT Stirred” by Anistatia R. Miller & Jared M. Brown. It’s a history and recipe book for martinis.
Turning to page 123, and getting passed the required first five sentences, I read:

“Besides, clear drinks are another obvious fashion-conscious plus: you don’t have to concern yourself with color coordinating your most visible accessory.

Our own variation -the Anastasia- uses 2 oz. (60 ml) Stoli® Kafya Vodka and 1 oz. (30 ml) Stoli® Vanil Vodka.

The spicier Patricia Petrosk mixes 2 oz. (60 ml) Stoli® Kafya Vodka, 1 oz. (30 ml) Stoli® Vanil Vodka and 1 dash Stoli® Zinamon Vodka.

Now you have what it takes to have a some fun tonight. Always in moderation, of course.

Some help for us…

I found this out there while “stumbling”:

1. I will have a cup of coffee in the morning and read my PAPER newspaper like I used to, before the Web.
2. I will eat breakfast with a knife and fork and not with one hand typing.
3. I will get dressed before noon.
4. I will make an attempt to clean the house, wash clothes, and plan dinner before even thinking of the Web.
5. I will sit down and write a letter to those unfortunate few friends and family that are Web-deprived.
6. I will call someone on the phone who I cannot contact via the Web.
7. I will read a book… if I still remember how.
8. I will listen to those around me about their needs and stop telling them to turn the TV down so I can hear the music on the Web.
9. I will not be tempted during TV commercials to check for email.
10. I will try and get out of the house at least once a week, if it is necessary or not.
11. I will remember that my bank is not forgiving if I forget to balance my checkbook because I was too busy on the Web.
12. Last, but not least, I will remember that I must go to bed sometime… and the Web will always be there tomorrow!

Can you do it? Because I sure can’t!
